 Highly Advanced Technology
Unlike other competitors’ products, the GIpro-DS reads the gear position information directly from the ECU, which makes it faster and more reliable than other gear indicators sold today.

  Plug ‘n Go, hassle-free set-up!
There are no buttons, no “programming wires”. The unit is fully automatic. There’s no need to cut or splice wires and no need to access several connectors. You only need to connect ONE plug under the seat – it can’t get any easier than this.

 Size does Matter!
Another unique feature is the size. It is the smallest, most compact gear indicator available. Just the perfect size!

  5 display colors
Extra bright, high contrast display which can be seen even in very bright conditions, e.g. direct sunlight. The unit is now available with Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and White color display options.

 Simple yet stylish
It has a simple and clear front face which goes along nicely with any OEM/factory instrument panel or aftermarket dash. Less is sometimes more.

 Tough design
The product comes in rugged, 100% weatherproof housing and with a 2-year replacement warranty.

Compatible with ALL HealTech products and backed up by our 2-year warranty.

Beware!

A few of our 1st generation GIpro DS-series units are counterfeited/cloned by some Chinese companies. They use various branding and logos, including HealTech, Honda, Kawasaki, etc. The product looks similar, but it has old firmware, the quality of the components and assembly is poor, lacking function/performance, unreliable and come without any warranty. Due to poor design and assembly, it may even damage your bike’s ECU!
Always be sure to purchase an original GIpro gear indicator from an authorized HealTech distributor or dealer. If you have any doubts, please contact the distributor in your country.

Only HealTech produces gear indicators with touch control + light sensor and the with latest signal processing tech. None of the clones offer these features thanks to the unique security authentication chips we use in the G2 series.

I have a Honda FI model (CBR600F4i), why is this model not supported?
Honda and Kawasaki did not make first generation FI models with a diagnostic system.
The GIpro DS-series will work only on bikes equipped with a Diagnostic System connector. You need the GIpro X-type model which will work perfectly.

I have a 2001 VFR800 FI bike, but you list only the 2003+ models?
Same as above. In general, bike manufacturers started to equip bikes with Diagnostic System in 2003. Be sure to check our application list before ordering

Why is Yamaha not in your list?
To date, Yamaha bikes do not have Diagnostic System connector. But again, The GIpro X-type will work perfectly.

How does the GIpro DS work?
The unit reads data from the ECU to determine the gear position.
The amount of data and information available varies from bike to bike. For this reason, the GPDS performs better on some bikes than on others.
Only Suzuki bikes and a few Kawasaki models have real Gear Position Sensor. On these bikes, the unit will indicate the correct gear at all times. However, on bikes which do not have Gear Position Sensor (Honda and most Kawasaki), the unit will indicate the correct gear only when the engine is running and clutch is released. While this can be an issue for some, one thing is sure. We make the most out of the available data on a particular bike to make the best gear indicator for your bike. The display lag is also much shorter than on competing products.

My bike is not supported. Can you make a Gear Indicator for this model?
We have the GIpro X-type model which works great on ALL bikes with a 4, 5 or 6 speed gearbox.

I see both the GIpro/ATRE and GIpro DS are available for my bike (GSXR1000 K4). What’s the difference?
Get the GIpro/ATRE if you want improved performance along with the Gear Indicator function.
› Get the GIpro DS if you need the smallest gear indicator but are not interested in more performance.

I have a TRE module on my Suzuki. Will it interfere with the GIpro DS?
The GPDS will not work if a TRE module is installed. We recommend to get the GIpro/ATRE which has Advanced TRE function built-in.

My bike (ZX6R 2007) does have a factory in-dash gear indicator, but I do not like the small size and design. Can I use your product?
Yes. the GIpro DS will work on this bike, unless you have an X-TRE already installed.

My bike has a Racing ECU, will it interfere with your product?
The GIpro DS will NOT work e.g. with the Honda HRC ECU. Use the GIpro X-type instead. The DS will work fine with the Ducati Racing ECU.

Which display colour would you recommend?
The Red and Green colours are the best in strong daylight. The second choice is Blue, then White. Yellow is not recommended unless the display will be mounted in a shaded location.

Is it compatible with other products, like the SpeedoHealer, Power Commander, Bazzaz, etc.?
Yes.

What does it take to install the DS?
All it takes is to connect ONE plug, which is under the seat on most bikes, and easy to reach.
Then route the cable and mount the display with the supplied sticky pads at either side of the dashboard.
For Triumph bikes, you also need to connect one wire to a switched power lead by using the wire tap connector supplied. No need to cut or solder any wires.

What is the difference between the DS and X-type models?
The display size and available colours are exactly the same, but the way it determines the gear position is very different.
The DS works on specific bike models while the X-type works on all bikes with 4, 5 or 6 speed gearbox.
Both models are easy to install but it takes less time to install a DS.
Basically, the choice is simple. Get the DS if it is available for your bike, otherwise, get the X-type.
